The neverending chrionicles of awesome

*contains mild spoilers*

Mkay, so this was a pretty epic movie. Haven’t seen one this moving since ages. Epic special effects ‘n’ shit. I just love accents on aviation in the movie. The quotes from the Russian characters are just great.

To a child’s statement “Wow, that’s a big plane!” a “large” Russian guy answers with a very deep “It’s Russian, huh” the plane being an unexisting (as far as I know)  Antonov 500 loaded with sports cars. :]

My personally favourite guy - the Russian pilot had two nice quotes - “Come on baby, lift your big ass for Sasha!” - he was basically praying for the An-500 to not stall and gain the altitude required to escape certain doom from flying in debris.

I was pretty disappointed when the movie got rid of my favourite character, but I understand that such a badass guy surviving would’ve messed up most of the scenario.

Anyway, I’d like to rant the bastards for only Americans surviving (the two fatasses don’t count), what the hell, why did the Russian chick die?! Who benefits from that?! Jacksons wife could’ve easily died if it was for the emotional impact. Goddamnit, the Russians in this movie were much more appealing than the American fucktards (okay, the main guy was pretty appealing, but nonetheless).

So, to recap, I hated the “Americans are the best” motto of the movie and loved the special effects and subtle, yet pleasing bits of avio-awesomeness in the movie.

Overall an 7.5/10 would’ve been a nine if there were more awesome Russians surviving.
