Zombie Driver
So there was this new game and I went ahead and checked it out.
Dang, it wasn’t nearly as nice as I thought it could be. I’ve played Mashed and because of that game I thought this would be pretty entertaining and playable although the video depicted the gameplay not really appealingly and I had some doubts. Oh well, to the point, the things I don’t like are the fact that the power-ups are power-ups and not permanent upgrades. I want the nitro to be there all the time, with recharges, not that every time I run out of it I have to drive back to the base and pick it up.
The view angle and overall camera handling is making me want to pull my hair out, because it really doesn’t want me to mow down zombies - it wants me to crash in walls and scenery and definately not even scratch the zombies while they throw levitating cans of garbage at my precious Veyron/Taxi/Limo/whatnot. If they adjusted the angle of the camera so that it was fixed and would be a bit like in normal racing games I’d play this.
And, the final point of my rant is the humongous repetitivness of the game - drive, crash therefore be slowed down by the hordes of onmarching zombies - splatter them all by slowly driving at them (How the hell does one explode a person by slowly prodding them with a car? Does the fender have a blender?) - drive - again get slowed down by the zombies, exterminate them by yet again slowly bumping them with the front fender - drive - crash into scenery and don’t lose any health - drive - bump into zombies - and so on. I understand one couldn’t really do much more with this, but it’s just too much of the same shit with not enough likable aspects.
Fix the camera and I’ll look into this game, otherwise, I’ll stay back.
